Scope and content
Colonial Office 885 is one of seven classes of confidential prints deriving from groupings created by the Colonial Office sometime in the 1860s. These records were originally under the designations CO 806 to CO 812 and covered the period 1874-1890 principally. CO 885, formerly CO 812, consists of prints which concerned the Colonial Office establishment and various colonies. Only selections of Canadian interest have been copied. Available on microfilm reel B-2392, this material relates to Imperial conferences and trade with the exception of print 214 which concerns a reorganization of the Colonial Office in 1907.
