Colonial Office 448 is a subject class relating to the recommendation and bestowal of Honours. The only items copied are a letter or recommendation from the Marquis of Lorne, Governor General of Canada, to the Earl of Kimberley, Secretary of State for the Colonies, and some supporting documents, concerning Roderick William Cameron, Canadian-born head of the Black Ball Line and honourary Commissioner for Canada at the Sydney International Exhibition, 1878-1880.
