Scope and content
CO 328 is one of the four "subject" class registers created in 1849-1850 by the Colonial Office consisting of general registers for British North America. The registers follow the general classification and registry procedures. The entire class has been acquired on microfilm. This material is available on microfilm reels B-3032 and B-3114. CO 328 is a register to certain classes of correspondence but must be used with caution because of the vagaries of classification and arrangement. See the published General Inventory of Manuscript Group 11 for more information.
