Scope and content
Colonial Office 338 contains registers of original correspondence for the "colony" class CO 60, British Columbia, original correspondence. The entire class has been microfilmed and is available on microfilm reel B-1636. CO 338 may be used as a register to most of the correspondence which entered the Colonial Office between 1858 and 1871 relating to British Columbia. The following list provides the Index Room Number assigned by the PRO to each volume of CO 338 as well as the years covered by the registers: CO 338, vol. 1, Number 12987, Year 1858; CO 338, vol. 2, Number 12988, Years 1859-1865, and CO 338, vol. 3, Number 12989, Years 1866-1871.
