We Were There

Enlisted men, officers, politicians, nurses, farmers, women munitions workers ... Among the many Canadian men and women who took part in World War I, several have left to Library and Archives Canada journals, documents and photos that recount their experiences. We invite you to explore the lives of these individuals and to learn about the war through the eyes of those who were there.
